Mt. Rainier A-Frame Cabin Engagement Session

There are few things I love more than a cute A Frame cabin in the mountains. These two chose the most charming A-Frame cabin in Packwood, Washington for their engagement session starting point. They chose ot make a weekend of this and headed up to spend the weekend with their dog near Mt. Rainier National Park.

One thing I love about engagement sessions is the extra time we have to slow down and infuse a couple’s personality into their photos. We started this session early in the morning to avoid forecasted rain in the evening. Courtney and Gary started the session with some coffee inside and when we moved outside we played with their pup and had Gary play some music. It was such an easy feeling session and felt so true to the two of them.

We headed for a nearby hiking trail to get a little bit different scene and move around a bit. They had scoped this trail out the day before and it was a quick and flat trail for us to explore for their photos. It gave us a nice quiet spot right along the river and was perfect to let their dog roam around a bit.

These two are getting married at Mt. Hood’s Timerline Resort and this mountain A-Frame was the perfect compliment to their upcoming wedding! I can’t wait to share more from their wedding day and spend more time with these two!
