Lake Cushman Engagement Session

I absolutely LOVE Itza and Clark’s engagement session at Lake Cushman, Washington! These two are your classic self-proclaimed “awkward in front of the camera” but then absolutely slayed their engagement session couple. They both work pretty intense jobs and we all wanted to get out for a bit for their engagement session. The Olympic Peninsula in Washington State is absolutely one of the most peaceful places in the Pacific Northwest. Lake Cushman specifically is a 4,014.6-acre lake and reservoir on the north fork of the Skokomish River in Mason County. The lake is notable for its beautiful crystal clear blue water and the huge round rocks surrounding it, as well as thick stands of hemlock, fir and cedar trees. It’s a popular destination for hiking, summer trips, kayaking and fishing. We met up and they followed me out to this little spot along Lake Cushman. The road is a bit rough and there is no service, so once we finally made it I jokingly asked them if I they were at all getting scared where I was taking them and they laughed at that and said they were making some jokes along the way about that. Some of the best spots though are found at the end of rough and rocky roads. We had this entire place to ourselves the entire session- which I really loved for them because it allowed them to relax and have some fun with it. One thing I immediately loved about them is how they fit together. Itza fits perfectly under Clark’s chin- like puzzle piece perfect. Whenever I asked them to melt together she always naturally went to this post and he equally as naturally rested his chin on her head. They spent most of their session laughing, which is all I really want for my couples. They are planning to elope in the PNW, this felt like the perfect spot to celebrate their relationship right now.
