Shannon & Brandon got married early June at Kitsap Memorial State Park. Their day called for 60% chance of rain all day with thunder storms. Shannon had envisioned her wedding outside, nestled under tall evergreen trees in the PNW fresh air. She held on to that vision all morning as she got ready while her family continued set up for the wedding. When it was finally time to make the decision, they went for the outdoor ceremony. Moving chair by chair to the outdoor location she dreamed of. They had a first look where they exchanged sweet notes and had some time to themselves. She also had a first look with her son, Jacskon, who's eyes lit up when he saw how beautiful his mom looked. There were bits of light rain throughout the morning but the ceremony was DRY and incredibly beautiful. Their reception was in the hall with string lights and tacos. They had a couple of quick toasts, a first dance, and spent the remaining time walking around talking and spending time with their closest friends and family. It was so clear how much being around these people meant to them, they wanted to take in every second of being with their favorite people. We snuck down to the beach for a minute for a few photos, then came back up to their reception where a patio game of Jenga took place. Their reception had an early bubble exit, and the two then spent the rest of the evening hanging out and camping with anyone who chose to stay. It was a beautiful day, for some amazing, kind, and obviously very LOVED people.
This wedding pulls at my heart strings- it’s a sweet one, it’s beautiful, it was such a fun day. Lara and Bryce got married at Step by Step in Puyallup, WA. Lara’s family owns this and the wedding was truly brought to life by their closest family and friends. Lara is the oldest of SEVEN daughters and family is so important to both Lara and Bryce. Their day was full of little moments. Lara was so composed all morning, but as she put her heels on she got a little emotional about what was about to happen. With all of her sisters and closest friends surrounding her, it was her youngest sister who slowly walked over, grabbed Lara’s shoe and continued to help her put it on. (YES. MY HEART STRINGS) They had their first look and I could instantly feel both Lara and Bryce’s good energy again- being together is where everything is right for them. They got married outside under a large overhang, the wedding party entered from the greenhouse and there were so many happy tears as Lara made her way down the aisle on her father’s arm. They said their I Do’s, they kissed, everybody cheered. There were tacos, and doughnuts, and some of the sweetest toasts I’ve ever heard (again, more happy tears) They danced, and danced some more, and the two of them said goodnight to me with some sparkler kisses. They were such a dream to photograph, to be with, and this wedding was an honor to capture! Enjoy!
