Wedding at Trinity Tree Farm in the PNW

A Sunny March Wedding at Trinity Tree Farm | PNW Wedding Photographer

As a PNW wedding photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing the rare magic of a sunny spring day in Washington—especially in March. Sean and Emily’s Trinity Tree Farm wedding in Issaquah, WA was the perfect blend of emotional, relaxed, and nature-inspired, and I couldn’t be more honored to have been a part of their long-awaited celebration.

From tearful vows to surprise sunshine, a heartfelt nod to their beloved cat, and the gorgeous surroundings of the PNW trees, their day was filled with personality, meaning, and quiet joy. If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, nature-focused wedding in the Pacific Northwest, this one might just inspire you.

Meet Sean & Emily: Sweet Big Love

Sean and Emily are one of those couples who just feel meant to be. The kind of duo that shares inside jokes, finishes each other’s sentences, and feels most at home simply spending time… well, at home. They're longtime partners who love their cozy life with their cat, and their wedding day reflected everything you’d expect from two people so deeply connected.

They weren’t focused on flashy traditions or over-the-top elements. They cared most about the people they love, the beauty of nature, and having a day that felt like them—easy, honest, and full of heart.

Getting Ready: Calm, Cozy, and Full of Anticipation

Emily got ready in the cozy bridal suites tucked into the venue’s wooded surroundings. The energy was relaxed—think close friends, snacks and sunlight pouring in through the windows. Her look was timeless, with soft hints of blue tying into the day’s natural aesthetic.

Meanwhile, Sean got ready with his closest guys in the groom’s upstairs quarters. One of the sweetest touches? He had an embroidery of their cat tucked into the inside of his suit jacket. One of their close friends made this for them and I mean… is there a better way to bring your fur baby into the celebration? This tiny, personal touch had everyone smiling, and it was a moment I made sure to capture.

The Ceremony: Emotional, Meaningful, and Full of Sunshine

The ceremony took place outdoors under a canopy of evergreens with blue skies overhead. March weddings can sometimes bring a bit of unpredictability, but this day? Absolutely perfect.

As a PNW wedding photographer, I live for these rare moments when the elements show up in the best way. The soft breeze, the light filtering through the trees, and the tears in everyone’s eyes created a setting that was both cinematic and soul-stirring.

Sean and Emily’s vows were personal, heartfelt, and tearful. You could feel the emotion ripple through the crowd—everyone knew how long they had waited for this moment, and how much it meant.

Portraits Among the Pines

One of the things I love most about being a Trinity Tree Farm wedding photographer is the access to such stunning, varied backdrops all within walking distance.

After the ceremony, we took a slow walk through the forested areas of the farm for their portraits. The light was golden, the trees were still glistening from a recent rain earlier in the week, and Emily’s bouquet from Seattle Blooms popped perfectly against the natural setting.

They were relaxed, giddy, and so clearly in their own little world—which, for a photographer, is the best kind of energy. We laughed, wandered, and documented this chapter of their story in the most organic way.

The Reception: Laughter, Dancing, and Toasts With Heart

Their reception was held inside one of the beautifully rustic indoor spaces at Trinity Tree Farm—full of wood beams, twinkle lights, and tables decorated with soft, natural tones. Blue accents continued to appear in their details, from napkins to florals to the ribbons tied to guest favors.

The toasts had everyone in tears and in stitches. Friends and family shared stories of Sean and Emily’s journey—from young love to the steady partnership they’ve built. It was clear they have a village behind them, and the support in that room was overwhelming.

Later in the night, Wunderland Events brought the party to life with music that had everyone on their feet (yes—even grandma made it to the dance floor!). The joy was electric.

Personal Details That Made the Day Feel Theirs

It’s the small things that always stay with me—the quiet moments and personal touches that make a wedding day feel truly individual. Here are a few that stood out from Sean and Emily’s day:

  • Their cat’s photo inside Sean’s jacket—a perfect nod to home life

  • Hints of soft blue throughout the day: florals, ribbon, table details

  • A guestbook table with Polaroids so guests could leave photos and notes

  • Natural, earthy decor that complemented the venue without overpowering it

  • The weather—a gift in itself. Sunshine in March felt like a sign.
