Brit + Kris Wedding

This has been one of my most intimate weddings to date. I met Brittany when I was in college, her sister and I attended university together and I met her during one of her visits down. I remember the first time I spent time with them, I knew I loved them. They radiate kindness, and joy, and you can not help but have the softest spot in your heart for them. When she contacted me about her wedding, I knew it would be an evening of so much love and happiness and just genuine people- it truly was! With just a handful of her closest family and friends, Brittany and Kris got married at JM Cellars in Woodinville. It's a gorgeous venue, it has greenery and details and colors are made for a wedding! From the getting ready rooms that are filled with natural light, to the small and intimate ceremony location, every detail was perfect. They had one long dinner table under some twinkle lights and I think almost every person at this table gave a toast filled with laughter, tears, and so much love. By the end of the night, I actually felt like I knew each guest attending, it made me heart so full! I'm not going to lie, I generally have low expectations for smaller wedding dance parties. I figured this wedding would die down slowly and come to a quiet ending. I couldn't have been more wrong- these people can DANCE! Though it was a small wedding, it was a full dance floor. For live music we were lucky enough to have Bradford Loomis playing for us and it was FREAKING AMAZING. This evening was SO special, I literally loved every second of this day, and I couldn't be happier for the two of them! CONGRATS B + K!

Amelia + Adam | Historic 1625 Place

All she ever wanted was unpredictable kisses and unforgettable laughter.

My first wedding of 2017 here and it's a good one! Nestled in the heart of Tacoma, WA at the Historic 1625 Place, Amelia and Adam exchanged vows and got married in January. We started the day off at Hotel Murano with her and her ladies! It was full of pretty details and natural light. We headed to Historic 1625 early afternoon for finishing touches on getting ready and their first look. There are days here in the PNW winter that seems sunless, even the glimpse of sun we do sometimes get in the winter months disappears by 3pm but we were able to squeeze a couple of outdoor photos into the day before the rain hit. The venue is made up of gorgeous brick walls and a cozy ambient setting. It has a garage of American made muscle cars that guests can check out during cocktail hour which is pretty awesome. Amelia and Adam exchanged their own written vows under wood-barrel vaulted ceilings, with their family, friends and adorable dog by their sides. Their day was full of love, laughter, some wild dancing, and so much love. I am so grateful I got to be a part of it, witness and capture it, and help them tell their story.
