Rickey + Kayla | Family Barn Wedding

I love our love story. Sure, it’s messy but all of the great ones are. It’s the story that brought me to you and you to me. It’s the story that got us here and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My heart gets so incredibly happy when I think back to this day and this wedding. These two put together a sweet and sincere backyard barn wedding at the Bride's father's ranch. I know a lot of hard work went into transforming the barn into a venue spot and it turned out beautifully. Meet Kayla + Rickey- these two got married in May on an beautiful sunny spring day in Vaughn, WA.  One of my favorite parts of this wedding is how special the details in the wedding were. From signage, to decor, to officiating and even food, these two and their circle of friends and family did it mostly themselves. It made every piece of this day meaningful and showed how much their friends and family truly care about them. Another highlight from the day had to be their daughter, Tinley. The little flower girl who got pulled down the aisle in a wagon stole the show for a split second with her big blue eyes and little smile.  I had such a good time capturing this wedding and a huge thank you to this amazing bride and groom for letting me be a part of your day!

The Fredericks Family | Family Session

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses
— Joyce Brothers

This might sound weird, but I think it's a huge compliment- this family is one of those families you see on the side of a bus. Let me explain. Usually these photos you see on buses are an advertisement for something, but it's usually a family that's really good looking but also real and relatable. They're faces that are likable and make you feel something. You want to be a part of that family because they look happy and fun and clearly have excellent genes- those darn bus families, so perfect. Well, I found a REAL LIFE bus family. Meet the Fredericks! Perfect human specimens. I was so excited to get to photograph them and they were so genuine to shoot that it made it easy. We told secrets, laughed, touched wet sea creatures and climbed on rocks, it was a great afternoon. I've said it before but fall + winter give me the opportunity and time to shoot a lot of families, and I'm loving getting to spend afternoons with beautiful and fun families like this one!

The Koch Family | Family Session

You are my sun, my moon, and all of my stars.

WELCOME FALL! And welcome family photo shoots! I was so excited to kick off this seasons of family photos with this darling little family! Meet the Koch family! Family portrait sessions can be a confusing thing for kids so I generally find it best to just let them do their thing and I'll work around them. This little guy ran around, threw rocks, rolled in sticker bushes, laughed and cried- all in a days work for a 1.5 year old. It was a beautiful fall day and it made me so happy to get to spend an afternoon with such an adorable family.
