Joydynn + Dylan Spooky Halloween Shoot

When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween.

These two are made for Halloween. I think the best thing about most of this shoot is Jordynn already had it all- the black outfit, the candelabra, tarot cards. We headed out down an old forest road and just spent some time creating, laughing, being creepy in the spirit of Halloween. We kept joking about how creepy it would be if anyone drove by and saw them sitting in the woods with their candles lit as she read his tarot cards. We ended the shoot with some smoke bombs. This was my first time using these, and we learned some things! They smell pretty terrible, they last somewhere between 60 seconds and 2 minutes, and they smell bad ;) But they did make for some really cool photos and added an extra element of spooky to our shoot! I can’t stress enough the importance of creating with other creatives, and Jordynn who is a killer wedding HMUA, totally brought that and I am so in love with our shoot. I think this needs to become an annual thing, yeah?!

Isabela + Michael Engagement

I'll take two cute humans, some champagne, and gorgeous PNW views ANY. FREAKING. DAY. I'm back sharing some more from Isabela and Michael's engagement session because they're getting MARRIED today! I shared PART 1 of their session RIGHT HERE where we stopped in at Molly Moon Ice Cream. We then jetted toward the mountains just in time to watch the sun go down and pop some champagne! The light, their style, how incredibly cute they are- it was perfect! So excited for these two as they start this next chapter! Cheers!

Natalia and Scottie PNW River's Edge Engagement

I've known of Natalia for a few years now through mutual friends, she's an amazing make up artist and kindhearted human. When she reached out to me about her engagement photos, she mentioned wanting hawaiian vibes as they are getting married in Hawaii this upcoming summer. The entire week before their session, and entire week after this session is PNW poured all day every day. You won't find many palm trees in our neck of the woods, sure theres some beaches but with the weather we decided to keep it local and see how it went. We totally beat the rain this morning, grabbed a cup of coffee, and escaped to a local river spot (not exactly tropical BUT almost as close as you get to it where we live!) These two are total babes and despite telling me they were going to have no idea what they were doing in front of the camera, I think they totally nailed it. I don't mean to play favorites, but whenever a couple brings their dog along- I melt. Scroll down and you'll meet their pup, Dirk. See Dirk is an old man, and he wore his finest old man hawaiian shirt for this occasion. Dirk was a trooper, with his little legs he climbed over rocks twice his size and was always down to do whatever I asked of him for the photo. These three were so much fun to hang out with and I can't thank them enough for letting me capture them!
