Tyler + Elise | Vashon Island Engagement

I love that you are my person. And I am yours.
— A.R. ASHER

We snuck off one evening to catch a ferry ride to Vashon Island, Washington. Elise had mentioned that she wanted to incorporate driftwood into their shoot and this was the perfect setting. I've known Tyler for a long time, we grew up together and spent many summers on the lake with our friends. When they reached out to me about their wedding, which was going to take place on that very lake, I was beyond excited. Vashon is a tiny island that looks across the sound to a bustling city, there's really only one road from when we got off the ferry to this beach. I had them dance around, skip rocks, cuddle, and just enjoy getting away from the craziness of everyday life for a bit. Elise skipped her first rock and turned around with the cutest surprised and proud look on her face, so excited to make sure Tyler saw it- I melted a little. We caught the ferry back and watched the sun as it started its way down for the evening. Such a sweet and fun afternoon with these two, and I am SO EXCITED for their wedding!
